Indian Railways has launched a real-time interactive train tracking system. The system is expected to help commuters monitor train movements in real time and accordingly plan their journey. However, due to some security reasons, the tracking information is not displayed in exact real time and it is delayed just by 5 minutes. The system has jointly been developed by Centre for Railway Information Service (CRIS) and RailYatri.in.

The train tracking system named as RailRadar is already live and can be accessed on desktop PCs, Laptops, Tablet PCs and Mobile phones. On the top of the screen, the consolidated percentage of trains running in time or delayed is displayed. Blue arrow indicates the train running on time whereas red color arrow indicated delayed trains.
