Each of the devices performs their function according to their specialty. Not only this, these devices run with the help of advanced apps. Such devices help us in delivering the best output in a very fast way but don’t you think that we are too much dependent on the technology? Take the example of a child, today’s generation is totally dependent on the internet and computer for completing their homework. They don’t even use their brain to think and abruptly take the help of the Internet to find the answers to their questions.

Earlier students did not even know about the usage of Internet. They used to depend on books for getting different ideas but now the advent of the Internet and technological advancements have made the students dumb.

Every technology has a dark and bright side, but it is up to us that how we use the technology for our brighter future. If we look at the means of communication then it would not be wrong to say that communication in today’s time is much faster and a time-saving. But, if we look at the other side of the coin we will find that the emotions, the feelings and the affection linked with writing a letter has been lost since the advent of facilities like e-mail, social networking sites etc. Social networking sites like Orkut, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter are the modern ways of sharing our feelings with our loved ones.

We are not denying that these modes of communication are serving the good purpose of simplifying our lives but we cannot ignore their negative effects too. Considering the actor of privacy, it is all vanished because of the emergence of social networking sites. And we still appreciate the Western culture for providing us an excellent way to communicate with our family and friends.

The debate is endless because it is really very hard to recognize the actual threat of technology. But this is for sure that we are making ourselves too dependent on technology.
