[Fight Back] First ever Women Safety SoS Mobile Apps

Women of Delhi are soon going to feel good even more about the technology and learn a new name – Fight Back. It is because, soon we are going to have a SoS mobile apps for women safety. This mobile apps has been named as Fight Back and is being launched by an NGO called as WhyPoll.org. Fight Back will work on smart phones and will be supported by number of mobile devices  including Nokia and Blackberry. This mobile apps for women will be available at a very nominal cost and expected to get launched by November 2011. This is a unique mobile application for women safety and will be quite useful to safeguard against sexual harassments, molestation, rape and even any other kind of harassment. Fight Back will work just at a click of button and with the single click, SoS message /SMS will be transmitted for help to the predefined numbers and police. This include women’s friends, relatives, family members, colleagues, social networks and police. All of them will get notified together just at the click of the button so that the necessary help could be provided in time. The SoS alert SMS/message will cost just same as any other SMS.

The SMS alert will also include the GPS location and it can be predefined to send up to maximum of five people. This will include the police and as a post on Facebook and Twitter as well.

First ever mobile app for women, Fight Back has been launched in New Delhi. The price to download Fight Back has been decided as Rs. 100 only. It is currently available in english language but there are plans to launch in other languages as well. Fight Back will be launched in nine more cities within next one year.
